It is ideally suited for students who wish to continue their education at third level or aspire to apprenticeships in the construction industry. It is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills associated with environmentally building and construction technology. The course enables students to develop practical skills in the areas sustainable construction technologies.

Plunket College of Further Education intends offering the sustainable construction modules as an integral part of the course as Irelands National Skills Strategy – 2025 (DES, 2016) predicts ‘Green Economy Skills’ as a sector specific skills need. The inclusion of Information Technology modules will upskill participants for niche construction opportunities for employment or progression to Third Level.

Five passes in the Leaving Certificate/Applied or QQI Level 4 or equivalent qualification.
Prior learning and practical work experience taken into account at interview stage.
Mature and international students are most welcome to apply.

On successful completion of course Students can progress through the Higher Education Links Scheme for entry to year one of a range of higher certificate and degree programmes at Institutes of Technology and Universities. CAO.ie
