Ruby Cooney

Ruby CooneyPositive Environment

“I spent a year studying Introduction to Counselling and Psychology.  My time at Plunket College FE taught me the key skills to achieve what I wanted as well as giving me a positive learning experience.

One of the course modules inspired me to further my learning and I went on to complete a QQI Level 6 Award in Early Childhood Care and Education in another further education college.

I am now in my fourth year in DCU St Pat’s studying Education and Training.”

Amy O’Connell

Progression to University

“I am now studying Psychology at Dublin Business School.  The course in Plunket College FE gave me a much better understanding of the arear of study before I went to University.  The teachers helped me to reach my potential and achieve my goals.  As soon as I started, I knew Plunket College FE was the place to be.  I’m so glad I went to Plunket College FE before starting a Level 8 Degree course, because I don’t think I would have been as successful in University otherwise.”

Derek Murphy (Year 1 and 2)

Returning to Education

“The courses provided an excellent route back into formal education with the right amount of direction and support for the tutors, which provided a solid platform for Higher Education.  The QQI Level 5 and 6 also provide the required level of qualification for many jobs in the community and social field.”

Susan Nooristani (Year 1 and 2)

Preparation for University

“The courses were excellent.  They gave me an understanding of psychology and taught me about many psychological theories.  Each module was understandable, useful, and informative.  In addition, all my teachers were eager to assist me with my assignments.  They were encouraging, optimistic people who worked hard to support me in achieving my academic goals.  I was able to apply to Universities and to prepare for Higher Education.
